The Table at For Keeps Books is the small archival library set in the middle of Auburn Avenue that houses notable as well as never-noted critical works by black authors and artists dating back to the early 1920’s. The intention of the For Keeps Library is simply to put the works of black people back into the hands of black people. Traditionally and historically these works have shifted from our hands into the hands of institutions that limit its accessibility to the people they were intended to help liberate. They have been hoarded, syphoned and at times redacted from the memory of those who need it most. For Keeps creates an open portal for these works to be touched and remembered for the foreseeable future. PLEASE ENTER HERE
